It’s ideally located near one of the most beautiful beaches on the Atlantic coast, Vert-Bois beach, on the edge of a pine and holm oak forest with numerous signposted footpaths, and close to a 160km network of cycle paths.

- night and day parking in a FREE private parking lot inside the campsite
- night lighting of walkways for easy access after dark.
The proximity of Plage de Vert-Bois, one of Oléron’s largest ocean-facing beaches, and a water park just 6 minutes from the campsite, will certainly keep many of your afternoons and evenings occupied, as you enjoy the magnificent sunsets. We also offer a number of FREE activities on the campsite:

- 2 pétanque courts,
- 2 ping-pong tables, 2 table soccer,
- 2 children’s play areas, including a home ball,
- a water play area for children,

Just a stone’s throw from Grand Village Plage, in the south-west of the Ile d’Oléron, the campsite has 96 spacious, shady, flat grass pitches, perfectly separated by natural hedges to ensure your privacy. Camping Le Maine’s abundant gre enery contributes to the calm and serene atmosphere of the site, making for a relaxing stay.
We can provide you with shared sanitary facilities accessible to PRM.
Are you travelling by bike or just passing through for the night? We offer a special package for cyclists and hikers.
Traditional camping is for everyone, for all tastes and adventures:

How far are the cycle paths from the campsite?
3 cycle paths are less than 450 m from the campsite entrance. One converges to the south, the other to the east.
North and the last one runs eastwards across the island.
Are dogs allowed on beaches?
Conditions for dogs on the beaches of the Ile d’Oléron vary according to season and time of day. We invite you to contact the tourist offices and the Communauté de communes de l’Île d’Oléron for further information.
Is there a mini-market at your campsite?
In our small grocery store, we offer a few staple products for when you forget, as well as local produce.
Is the campsite close to the town center and shops?
The campsite is located halfway between the town centers of Grand-Village Plage (2800 metres) and Dolus (3500 metres) with
all shops and markets; 5 minutes by car or 10 minutes by bike along the cycle paths or by taking the FREE “VIOLETTE” bus service available during the summer season at the campsite entrance.
Are pets allowed in all areas of the campsite?
Our animal friends are welcome. All pets must be kept on a leash and are not allowed in the sanitary facilities.
The campsite is located in a quiet area!
